Meet the Doctor

Dr. Sarah B Sheldon, MD

Dr. Sheldon graduated from Wellesley College and Boston University School of Medicine to become a licensed, board certified pediatrician in Massachusetts. Looking for a socially-oriented career in science, she decided to put her linguistic skills to use in medicine by training in pediatrics: “I speak baby,” she affirms. 

In the summer of 2010, Dr. Sheldon began practicing primary care pediatrics at Arlington Pediatric Associates, where she became a physician-owner in 2015. Dr. Sheldon’s solo practice, Purple Crayon Pediatrics, opened its doors in July 2019. Her vision is to provide more personalized care to patients and their families, as the flexibility of a smaller practice affords more individual interaction and responsiveness. 

Dr. Sheldon lives in Arlington and has 2 kids in the Arlington Public School system. She speaks fluent French, plays the viola, acts and sings in Revels productions, is an avid knitter, and might be what you’d call a “crazy cat lady” if it wasn’t for her love of dogs. 

She also likes the color purple.
