About the Practice

A family-run practice, Purple Crayon Pediatrics aims to provide a high level of medical care with personal attention in a caring environment. Dr. Sarah Sheldon is the sole practitioner, and her husband Dan Sheldon is the practice manager. Sarah San Clemente is the office manager. Megan Uy is our behavioral health specialist. We strive to provide excellent care for your child, and believe that families are an important part of a successful pediatric health care team. On weekends, holidays and vacations, we share coverage with several other solo pediatricians in neighboring towns.

• Meet & Greet: Expecting a new child in September or after? Call us to schedule a meet and greet with Dr. Sheldon to visit the practice and see if Dr. Sheldon’s style fits with your needs.

• Communication: We endeavor to call back phone messages within 1 business day and return emails within 2 business days.
  
  

• Baby group (on hiatus): Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-noon. For parents and their babies up to 6 months old, this group presents an opportunity to connect with other parents, support each other and share questions and concerns, with the goal of reducing caregiver stress. Moderated by Dr. Sheldon, the meetings also provide an opportunity to ask your pediatrician questions on a regular basis. ​

• Vaccination policy: Purple Crayon Pediatrics follows the CDC recommended vaccine schedule. Dr. Sheldon firmly believes that vaccines save lives and does not accept patients who choose not to vaccinate. Please set up a consultation if you would like to discuss any vaccination concerns, as Dr. Sheldon is committed to respectfully addressing parents’ concerns about the subject. 

• Mill Street Building Services: Associated medical services such as labs, x-rays, and physical therapy are all conveniently available on-site. Social workers, psychologists, family dentistry, and acupuncture are also located in the Mill Street building. 

• Parking: Parking is available in the 22 Mill Street visitor parking lot across the street from the building's main entrance on Mill Brook Drive for $2.00/hour; or there is street parking on Mass Ave and Summer Street.
